Protect Yourself, the Patient & Your Equipment with These Dental Products

Patient safety should be the concern of every dental office, and to ensure you as the dentist and the patient are protected, you will need to purchase the right supplies. This also extends to your equipment that you use in the treatment room. So, what will you need? Here is a quick run down of the products we advise you buy for this purpose.

Disposable Lab Coats

These disposable lab coats are an essential purchase for every dental office. These particular lab coats are breathable and are excellent for retaining the same fluid-resistance that you would expect from a non-disposable lab coat. The coats have been designed so they are non-flammable, and they feature a front pocket, which can be closed by snapping the pocket in place. These are unisex, meaning they are ideal for both men and women. Available in sizes small, medium, large and extra-large, with ten disposable lab coats per pack.

Disposable Tie-Back Protective Gown

If you prefer to wear a gown instead of lab coats, we would recommend that you purchase these Disposable Tie-Back Protective Gowns. Like the lab coats above, these are resistant to any fluids that you ever come into contact with. They are great for working in a hot environment, which means you are kept cool whilst working. This is due to the cool and comfortable material that the gowns are made of. It is possible to easily fit the gowns thanks to the waist ties and the elasticated cuffs that are able to keep the gown in place while you work. They are suitable for both men and woman and are available in two different sizes, with 10 gowns per pack.

Powder-Free Vinyl Exam Gloves

For protecting your hands during treatment, make sure you get a box of these Powder-Free Vinyl Exam Gloves. It is possible to easily put these gloves on without powder, thanks to the low-friction inner polymer coating which facilitates this smooth application and removal. This is perfect if your hands become irritated by other gloves that do have the powder in them. To ensure they are as tough as possible, there is a beaded cuff for extra strength and tear resistance. They are also latex free, so perfect for any dentist or patient that has a latex allergy. Each box comes with 100 gloves, and are available in five different sizes (X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large).

Easy Breath Earloop Mask

For covering your mouth during treatments, these Easy Breath Earloop Masks are perfect for the job. They are totally fluid resistant, and to aid comfort whilst wearing, they are made of soft, 3-ply material with comfortable inner lining. The masks are able to fit snuggly around the face due to the soft, round earloops which also have a pliable nose band. They are also fiberglass and 100% latex free, with 50 in each pack. You can select which color you prefer from blue, pink or lavender.

Premium Molded Cone Mask

If you prefer a more rigid mask while carrying out your treatments, we would recommend these Premium Molded Cone Masks. They are completely fluid resistant and the nosepiece is pliable to facilitate the cool and comfortable breathing of the wearer. The comfort of the cone mask is improved thanks to the soft inner lining. Like the Earloop Masks above, the cone masks are Fiberglass and latex free. Each box comes with 50 masks, and are available in either blue or pink.

U.V. Protective Eyewear

For keeping eyes safe from dangerous ultraviolet light, we would recommend the purchase of U.V. Protective Eyewear. In tests, it was found these glasses were able to filter out at least 99% of the dangerous blue UV light you and the patient may be exposed to. The glasses also feature protective side shields, which guard against any light getting in at the sides. Even if you wear normal spectacles, it is possible to wear these U.V. glasses over your existing glasses.

Patient Bibs

For protecting the patient’s upper torso, make sure you get a pack of these patient bibs. The layers of the bib don’t become separated which is due to a special technique to bond the layer of poly and tissue together, giving the bibs added rigidity. They are best described as being 2-ply tissue and 1-ply poly for absorption and patient protection. The dimensions of the bibs are 13" x 18" and are available in five different colors.

1/2 Chair Sleeves

It is not just you and the patient that need protecting. It is also essential that you protect your expensive dental equipment. For the protection of your dental chair, we would recommend these ½ chair sleeves. They are made of high quality clear plastic and are able to be snuggled fitted over nearly all dental chairs. The durability of these chair sleeves is very good, and when it comes to disposale, it can be removed with ease. The dimensions of the chair sleeves are 27.5" x 24".

Digital X-Ray Sensor Sleeves

For protecting your X-ray sensors, it is important that you purchase these Digital X-Ray Sensor Sleeves. Digital imaging equipment on the whole can be very pricey, so these sensor sleeves go a long way to protecting your sensors from coming into contact with any dirt or fluids. Being leak proof, thanks to the extra soft tear resistant plastic that they are made of, they are fit for purpose and a worthy investment.

Tray Sleeves

Lastly, we would recommend that you purchase a pack of Tray Sleeves. These Tray Sleeves cover the whole of the tray are made of clear plastic to ensure you see the contents of the tray easily. It is quick to fit and remove the tray sleeves from the tray and they are available in two sizes.
